The compact FLIR® Tau 2 core delivers highly accurate thermal imaging for applications where temperature monitoring and measurement are critical, such as in food and beverage, agriculture, search and rescue, manufacturing, medical and building inspection.

The Tau 2 is extremely light weight, weighing less than 72 grams, and is only 44.5 mm x 44.5 mm x 30 mm (without a lens) in size. This makes it ideal for weight-constraint applications such as drones and wearable technology. The improved accuracy of the thermal imaging can measure within ±5°C as standard. This makes it ideal for applications where identifying a spot temperature or temperature range is vital, such as search and rescue, and food and beverage. The low power consumption of less than 1.0W makes it ideal for any application where power efficiency is imperative, for example in remote locations, medical environments and portable applications.
