The Bearing Temperature Sensor PT100K3DN is special degined for small SKF bearing houses.

This sensor is manufactured with a grease nipple, which is airtight and easily applicable.

PT100 measuring conductor.

The electrically conductive power of the metal (platina) is based on the motility of free electrons. At an increasing temperature the atoms of the metal grid will vibrate more severe to their resting position and obstruct hereby the free electrons to flow to the positive part of the current source. This

obstruction will cause a restistant which is in primary linear interrelation with the temperature.

For the generation of the output the PT100 will be charged with a permanent current of (ca. 1 mA).

The resistance PT100 causes a voltage collapse (U = R x l) which can be analyzed.
